With the addition of incoming freshman Jordan Smith and Air Force transfer Zach Bohannon (pictured above), the 2011-12 Wisconsin Badgers Men’s Basketball roster is complete.
Smith hails from Orono, MN where he is the all-time leading scorer at Orono High School with 2,518 points.
Bohannon, the little brother of former Badger Jason Bohannon, will redshirt the 2011-12 season and become eligible as a junior in the 2012-13 season.

Jordan Smith (pictured above, 6-2, 180)
– As a senior at Orono High School, Smith averaged 21.5 points, 3.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game and led his team to a 28-4 record and the 2011 Class AAA State Championship.
– He earned Minnesota Basketball News (MBBN) 3A State Player of the Year honors after shooting 47 percent from the field as a senior, including a mark of 53 percent from 3-point range.
– “We’re excited to have Jordan join us,” said Head Coach Bo Ryan. “He’s a great addition in all facets. He fits everything we look for on court, academically and socially. He knows the reputation at Wisconsin both from a basketball standpoint and academically. It was going to take the right combination for him and he has found that here. He is excited to continue the lineage of successful Minnesota residents at Wisconsin.”
Zach Bohannon (6-8, 205)
– Bohannon appeared in 39 career games (one start) for the Falcons, including 22 contests last season as a sophomore.
– Bohannon missed the first 10 games last season after right thumb surgery during the preseason, but returned to play 13.5 minutes per game and average 4.3 points and 2.0 rebounds.
– He shot .492 from the field and .367 from 3-point range and posted career-highs of 12 points, eight boards and five assists in a win at Utah.
– “Zach brings two years of D-I experience, and we’re happy to add him to the team,” said Ryan. “We’re very familiar with his bloodlines and we know from his family background and work ethic that he is an A-plus. He’s gotten bigger and stronger and he has obviously been in an environment that required a lot of commitment both on and off court. Zach will have to sit this year out per the transfer policy, but he will be a part of everything we do and have a big impact on our scout team next season.”
